Tejal Shah is a proud parent, a certified special educator, a Founder of Banglore Humsafar started in the year 2015 with just 5 parents and has grown to 239 parents as on date from all over Karnataka. They do a healthy discussion on daily life, therapists, doctors, inclusive schools, and centers that supports people with Down Syndrome. Tejal Shah is a Co-founder of the first formal online and offline certified program on Down syndrome. The online course which started in June 2020 has participants from all over India and from out of India. The course already has great feedback and is helping the participants in contributing towards the improvement of the lives of people with Down syndrome. Down Syndrome provides learning disability and various developmental programs since 2017. She is active in social service also where she has conducted free health check-up camps for more than 100 children since the year 2018. She has conducted a free online medical camp to support 50 children with Down syndrome from all over India in association with DSFI. She has tied up with Rainbow Hospital in 2019. Tejal Shah was nominated for the National Award for the empowerment of persons with disabilities in 2020. She has won Excellence Award winner in the year 2019 for her outstanding contribution to the cause of Down Syndrome
