Tannisha Avarrsekar, is the Founder, CEO & Editor-in-Chief of Lokatantra, an online political platform that works towards bridging the gap between voters and political officials. Under her leadership the platform has assisted about 50,000 voters navigate India’s electoral process in the short span of 1 year. She is a well-respected consultant in the field of Political Strategy & Communications and has been conferred with the Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 award by Vyapaar Jagat MSME Awards, the Young Achiever Award by IAF for outstanding contributions towards nation-building, the MADCon Top 50 Marketing & Advertising Leaders award for pioneering efforts in the field of political marketing and also been listed by Asia Times in ‘5 Social Entrepreneurs to Watch in India’. Tannisha is the author of two critically acclaimed books and acts as Honorary Trustee as well as Advisor to the boards of reputed NGOs such as the Centre For Transforming India, and the Insaniyat Foundation. She is a graduate in English and Politics from King's College London, where she sits on the prestigious board of elected Associates.
