Sameer Jain, the promoter and MD of Glassco Laboratory Equipments Pvt. Ltd., is an MBA by studies and was born and brought up in a small town in Haryana, Ambala. To ensure that his company remains competitive, he is continually furthering his education and training in order to master cutting-edge technologies as they emerge. Under his direction, the company has grown to become one of India's and the world's leading manufacturers of laboratory glassware.
Glassco, which employs a rapidly expanding workforce of almost 1,000 people, is committed to developing and distributing cutting-edge solutions for laboratory equipment at competitive prices. Despite having humble beginnings as a single room operation back in 1969, today it occupies 8.5 acres of land and buildings and boasts the largest solar plant in the region at 500 kilowatts.Manufacturing laboratory glassware (USP, DIN, ISO, ASTM, and JIS standards), Glassco has a wide selection of products across their 3500+ SKU catalog. It is India's leading exporter, having won the Capexil Award five times and the MSME Innovation Award in 2020.
Glasso not only introduced the first laboratory glassware that is compatible with LIMS, but also invented QR-LabGlass in 2009. Inhouse innovation in production made the plant one of the world’s best lab glass facility.
A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLED USE OF LABORATORY (V-Tag), Patent No. 11146797, was granted to Glassco's second promoter, Ms. Manisha Jain. With new facility to produce disposable lab glassware, such as culture tubes, that will encourage the diagnostics industry to move away from plastic and reusable glass tubes, both of which increase the risk of contamination and pose a threat to the environment.
