“Linen Art Private Limited” (LAPL) was incorporated as a private limited company on 27th December 2013. LAPL is into the business of manufacturing and sale of linen yarn. The company has set up manufacturing capacity of 130 tons of linen yarn/month by installing 12544 spindles at D-8, Tarapur Industrial Estate, Boisar, Tarapur-Phalgar, Dist. Thane, Maharashtra. The company is the 3rd largest manufacturer of linen yarn in India and first of its kind in Maharashtra. The entire facility was set up with initial contribution of Rs. 65 crores from promoters and has commenced commercial operation in August 2015. Further in the year 2018-19, due to huge demand of Linen Yarn the company had further enhanced the capacity by 5888 spindles or 55 tons per month. Currently the company is having a production capacity of 12544 spindles or 130 tons per month. Recently government has levied an anti-dumping duty of approx 20% on our product resulting in increase of domestic demand.

Mr. Shitanshu Bipin Vora, is 48 years of age, well qualified and is a B.Com from the University of Mumbai. Mr. Shitanshu hails from a respected business family and has experience of over 25 years in business and administration. He had been for the past 20 years engaged in finance & trade business activity covering stock broking and commodity trading and since last 5 years he is actively involved in making Linen Art one of the best in the Industry.

Mr. Shitanshu is the Managing Director of the company and his knowledge and experience in Textiles had immensely supported the company. Under his leadership, Linen Art has become the 3rdlargest manufacturer of Linen Yarn in India. Last year in 2021-22, the company had achieved turnover of Rs. 218 crs with an EBIDTA of Rs. 45 crs. Under his leadership, inspite of COVID situation, we are planning expansion, to become the 2nd largest manufacturer of Linen Yarn in India.

Mr. Vimal Kumar Goenka (ICWAI, CS, and B.Com) is of 69 years age and has excellent exposure in the activity covering linen yarn manufacturing and sale. His last assignment was with the Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, unit Jaya Shree Textiles (JST) belonging to the Aditya Birla Group of Companies, engaged in the manufacture of linen yarn.

Shri Goenka is accredited with the development and growth of the Birla Group’s linen yarn business. Under his stewardship the Birla Group’s linen yarn production capacity had grown from 6000 spindles to 22000 spindles and the linen yarn profit from a mere Rs.5.00 crores to Rs.60.00 crores. He is also accredited with having created demand for linen yarn in the Indian Market of 10000 tonnes p.a. from a mere 1200 tonnes p.a. in a span of 7 years.

Shri Goenka, with his excellent achievements in the company was honoured with the Chairman’s Award for Exceptional Contributor in 2010-11. Shri Goenka is a well distinguished personality in the commercial field. He was one of the past Chairman of the Hooghly Chapter of Institute of Company Secretary and President of the Rotary Club of Serampore. He was an active member of the Hooghly Chambers of Commerce, Bharat Chambers of Commerce and Eastern India Mill Association. His vast experience and knowledge particularly in the linen yarn segment of the industry will be of immense support to the company
