Dr. Vinod Kumar Gupta is currently the President and CEO of YMC India Private Limited, a subsidiary of YMC Co Limited, Japan. With over 30 years of experience, he is an expert in Analytical and Preparative Chromatography, Pharma/Chemicals/Drugs Discovery, and API Purification. He holds an M.Sc and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar. During his academic years, he was an avid sports enthusiast, regularly participating in various tournaments such as Table Tennis and Cricket. He also played a significant role in organizing college fests and was a student member of the university's academic council for two consecutive years in 1979 and 1980.
In 1981, Dr. Gupta began his career as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry, where he was involved in teaching and research for five years. In 1986, he joined Waters Corporation, a Fortune 500 company in the USA, and worked for over eight years in various capacities, starting as a product specialist and eventually taking on responsibilities in marketing and application support at both regional and national levels. During his tenure at Waters, he significantly contributed to the growth of Waters HPLC Business in India and received numerous best performer awards.
For 15 years, Dr. Gupta served as an advisor for marketing HPLC Columns and accessories for various reputed brands, including Thermo Fisher (USA), Akzo Nobel (Sweden), and Metrohm (Germany). He has been on the Board of YMC India Private Limited since its incorporation in 2008 and has actively managed and successfully run the business of HPLC Columns and Consumables for the past 16 years.
Dr. Gupta's vision is to create brand value by delivering the best quality products, services, and support to customers in the fields of Chromatography, Biochemical, and Pharmaceutical industries.
