Introduction
The society was formed in 1993 and in 1996 it was registered as Society (NGO) under West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961.The Board consist of 7 members including President, Secretary and Treasurer all experienced in the field of microfinance. The organization is working in the field of microfinance since 1998.
Sahara Utsarga has been working with the objective of poverty alleviation and women empowerment through the process of financial inclusion. Their main thrust is to work with women who are in socially and economically disadvantageous position, for their social up-liftment and economic emancipation.
