Mr. Sharad Awasthi is the CEO of AgriFort Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a position he has held with distinction since founding the company in 2016. With over 28 years of experience in the agri-input sector, Mr. Awasthi brings extensive expertise in sales and marketing, having worked with multinational companies such as American Cyanamid, BASF, and Biostadt India Ltd. (Wockhardt). His in-depth knowledge of the industry and strong leadership skills have been instrumental in shaping the success of AgriFort Technologies.
Mr. Awasthi holds a Gold Medal in M.Sc. Agriculture from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agricultural & Technology, Kanpur, and an MBA in Human Resource and Supply Chain Management. Under his leadership, AgriFort Technologies has achieved significant growth, even overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the difficult economic climate, the company achieved a 21% growth in business after the pandemic, a testament to his strategic vision and resilience.
Before founding AgriFort Technologies, Mr. Awasthi earned recognition at American Cyanamid for the highest sales of Thimet and Durmet. At BASF, he was selected for an international trip to Bangladesh to evaluate the Sulphur market. His leadership at Wockhardt-Biostadt saw him rise from Regional Sales Manager to National Sales Manager, handling a business portfolio worth 300 crores and managing 250 employees.
At AgriFort, Mr. Awasthi has focused on addressing agricultural challenges through innovative solutions, such as plant biostimulants for nutrient efficiency, stress tolerance, and soil health.
