During her tenure, she progressed from an internal auditor of quality systems to the position of Deputy General Manager. Her role involved leading a team of 40 people and taking on multiple challenges across various functions.
She was responsible for spearheading new product development, overseeing both pilot and commercial production, with notable achievements including the first commercial production of curry powder and seasonings for the company. In addition to her work in product development, she developed a vendor assessment system that improved supplier quality and operational efficiency. She also established a sensory team for tasting, ensuring the consistency and quality of the company's products.
Throughout her time at Jayanti Spices, Mrs. Thahira played a key role in upholding food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality systems, ensuring that the company met industry standards and maintained a strong focus on business development.
