The company identified the twin city of Hubli-Dharwad as the ideal location for a state-of-the-art mall. In 2006, they acquired 109,307 square feet of land to develop a mall and entertainment center of world-class standards, alongside an adjoining hotel. The mall, with a total built-up area of 310,000 square feet, opened its doors in 2012 and features a remarkable tenant mix that includes Walmart Easyday Hypermart, Cinepolis 5-screen multiplex, Reliance Trends, Pantaloons, KFC, Dominos, a multi-cuisine food court, amusement options, and numerous other well-known brands.

The mall has become a prime shopping and entertainment destination for families, boasting top-tier infrastructure such as escalators, elevators, 100% power backup, and adherence to fire safety standards. Most of the anchor tenants continue to thrive in the mall, demonstrating a high level of satisfaction with the facility. The mall enjoys the highest footfalls in the area, with impressive conversion rates. It also features a significant 360-foot frontage along Gokul Road, where plans are in place for various activities, including food festivals, music events, and activities targeting young school and college students.

The company’s hotel project covers 70,000 square feet and comprises 68 well-appointed suites, two banqueting rooms for large gatherings like weddings and corporate conferences, and a Rest-o-Bar. This project is nearing completion and is scheduled to open to the public by December. Strategically located just 3 kilometers from the airport and in proximity to major IT companies like Infosys and the Deshpande Foundation, the hotel is poised to attract a considerable business segment of visitors.

Mr. Sunil R. Bajaj has been the whole-time Executive Director of Samhrutha Habitat Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. since 2006. He hails from a business family with a financial background in Mumbai. A qualified insurance broker, Mr. Bajaj previously served as the Principal Officer at M/s Jubilee Insurance Broking since 2005. In addition to his role at Samhrutha Habitat, he is an Executive Director on the Board of Habitat Shelters Private Limited, a promoter of both Samhrutha Habitat in Hubli and B. M. Habitat Mall in Mysuru.

Supporting Mr. Bajaj is a dedicated Board of Directors. This includes Mr. Deepak S. Lulla, a qualified Civil Engineer and promoter of Habitat Shelters Private Limited, which was established in 1989 and has executed several successful residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Also on the board is Mr. C. R. Sahu, a highly accomplished corporate figure who has served as Vice President of GE Wipro Medical Systems and as a Director on the Board of Siemens Ltd. Mr. Sahu has also been instrumental in promoting state-of-the-art diagnostic centers in Bengaluru and Goa. Based in Hubli, he has played a vital role as a principal driver of Samhrutha Habitat during its development phase, significantly contributing to the company’s growth and success.
