Mr. Dinesh Saraogi, born on December 13, 1972, is an accomplished entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in the Lac and Shellac industry. He holds a B.Com (Hons) degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Starting his career in 1991, he founded Saraogi Shellac Overseas Corp., pioneering the export and trade of shellac products. By 1995, he established a manufacturing partnership in Balarampur, producing Seedlac and Shellac products, and expanded into European, Indonesian, and Middle Eastern markets, with the U.S. as a key hub.
In 2002, he began sourcing Sticklac from Indonesia, boosting market share, and in 2003, entered the Southern European fruit coating market with Dewaxed Shellac Flakes. By 2007, he set up a buying house in Thailand to ensure a steady Sticklac supply. From 2009 to 2013, Saraogi Shellac Overseas Corp. became a globally reputed Shellac company, earning Export Excellence Awards for five consecutive years.
A major milestone in 2014 was the launch of Ambrettolide manufacturing, positioning the company as a key player in the global fragrance and flavor industry. Under his leadership, Saraogi Shellac & Aromatics Pvt. Ltd. and Saraogi Shellac Overseas Corp. have been top-ranked exporters from India for the past six years.
