Mr. Chenna Keshava, Managing Director of Sree Devi Powder Coating Private Limited, graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Sidda Ganga University, Tumkur, Karnataka, in 1995. He began his career as an engineer at Tatra Trucks, India Ltd, and Volvo Trucks, India Limited. Motivated by his experience and with encouragement from his father, he invested 25 lakhs and started his business with 10 employees.
Despite initial challenges, Mr. Keshava's perseverance led to a breakthrough with Ashok Leyland Ltd and TVS Motor. Sree Devi Powder Coating’s innovative powder coating process impressed these companies, resulting in a shift from traditional painting to powder coating.
By 2007, automation and increased demand enabled the company to expand operations to two shifts and grow its workforce to 50 employees. Further expansion included an additional auto line with electro deposit paints, transitioning to three shifts. The company’s strategic move to Chennai, a major automobile hub, incorporated the latest technology, catering to clients like Hyundai Motors, Nissan Cars, Ashok Leyland, and Bharath Benz.
Mr. Keshava’s dedication to learning new technologies through international exhibitions has been integral to the company's growth. From a turnover of 10 lakhs per annum in 2000 to 40 crore in 2023, with 300 employees, Sree Devi Powder Coating’s success is a testament to his leadership and vision.
