Mr. Mihir Ajit Shah, Partner at Universal Connections LLP, is a distinguished consultant, advisor, and trainer in international business, specializing in areas such as Foreign Trade Policy, GST, FEMA, RBI regulations, and Customs. Through his consultancy, he advises on critical aspects of export and import business, and as a trainer, he conducts in-depth sessions on topics ranging from business setup and marketing to government incentives, international trade agreements, and GST.
Mr. Shah is an ICC Incoterms® 2020 Registered Trainer in India, certified by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris. Annually, he conducts over 100 training sessions, engaging more than 4,500 participants. His expertise has been recognized by the Pen & Stationery Association of India, which awarded him for his invaluable support as a Foreign Trade Consultant.
In addition to his consulting and training roles, Mr. Shah serves as a mentor for the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Profit Accelerator Program, aimed at guiding SMEs in India, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam to establish international presence, especially in the Greater Sub-Mekong Region. His mentorship helps these companies navigate complex international trade environments and seize growth opportunities abroad.
Mr. Shah’s academic credentials include an MBA in International Business from Sikkim Manipal University, an LL.B. and B.Com. from the University of Mumbai, as well as a Certificate in Export Import Management from the Indian Institute of Export Management. With an impressive global footprint, he has presented research on international business at the Decision Sciences Institute in the USA and has extensive experience with product and service exports across sectors, including chemicals, cosmetics, engineering, textiles, and software.
