David Anand is the CEO and founder of Football Plus Professional Soccer Academy and Lighthouse Foundation. With a background as a mentor, teacher, leader, coach, consultant, and guide, he has cultivated a diverse and impactful career in the field of sports and leadership development.
He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Football Management. His professional qualifications include an AIFF-D coaching license and a UEFA-C preliminary license obtained from DFI Germany. He has also undergone various international leadership programs, including African Leadership for Community Transformation in South Africa, IPTS Leadership with Christians in Sport in the UK, and International Leadership Training Level 3 in the USA.
David’s football career began with representing Madras University at the U-15 and U-21 levels, where he played from 2000 to 2004 and served as team captain for one year. He was recognized as the top scorer in both South Zone and All India level competitions. He went on to play professional football for three years, including a year with Sporting De Goa, and represented the Indian football team in the Unity World Cup, competing internationally against teams from Brazil, Ghana, Nepal, Portugal, and Nigeria. He currently resides in Chennai, India.
