Mr.Vasudev Narayanan Potti

Mr. Vasudev Narayanan Potti is a Textile Chemist who graduated from the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, in 1992. Over the past 30 years, he has built a distinguished career in the Specialty Chemicals industry, working across India and abroad in sectors including Textiles, Leather, Paper, Water Treatment, Construction, Oilfield, and Industrial Cleaning. Alongside his technical background, he holds a degree in Marketing Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune, and a Diploma in Export & Import Management from IIMM, Vadodara.
Mr. Potti began his career on the production shop floor at Morarjee Mills, Mumbai, before moving into marketing in 1994 with the Chemicals division of Sandoz, which later became Clariant (now Archroma). He advanced through roles in Product Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Development. Subsequently, he led the Regional Textile Effects business for Huntsman Corporation across South Asia, South East Asia, and the Middle East, managing top-line revenues of approximately US$200 million. In his last corporate role, he served as SBU Head for Performance Chemicals at Deepak Nitrite Limited, where he played a key role in establishing a world-scale Optical Brightening Agents plant at Dahej and expanding the company’s global presence.
In 2015, Mr. Potti entered entrepreneurship, founding Ascent Chemicals LLP and later Frischemie Speciality Performance Materials Private Limited in 2019. As Managing Director of Frischemie, headquartered in Thane with a manufacturing facility in Ambernath, he delivers innovative solutions to clients worldwide. He is actively involved in community initiatives supporting children’s education and elder care. A resident of Mulund, Mumbai, Mr. Potti is married to Geeta, his partner in life and business, and they have twins, Aditya and Diya. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys cricket, badminton, tennis, chess, reading, and light music.
