Mr. Karthick Shanmuga Sundaram hails from the small town of Ambasamudram in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, and comes from a humble family background. He completed his undergraduate studies in Printing Technology from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, in 2010, followed by an M.Tech in Packaging Technology from the Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai. With over eleven years of experience in packaging research, development, and operations, he has worked with leading organizations such as ITC Ltd., Britannia Industries Ltd., and Synthite Industries Ltd., where he gained extensive expertise in packaging innovation and process excellence.

In 2021, driven by his vision to create sustainable and natural food solutions, Mr. Karthick founded Gusteau Foods Private Limited, a company specializing in B2B food ingredient solutions. Under his leadership, Gusteau Foods has emerged as a fast-growing enterprise in the natural ingredients sector. The company was honored with the “Fast Growing Company Excellence Award” in 2023 by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, and later recognized as the “Social Impact Agritech Startup” by the Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu in July 2025.

Alongside his entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Karthick actively contributes to academia and industry development. He serves as a Board Member of Studies at the Department of Printing and Packaging Technology, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. He is also a Committee Member for Packaging with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India, and a Faculty Member for Food Technology at Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Chennai. Through his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to innovation, Mr. Karthick Shanmuga Sundaram continues to inspire growth and sustainability across the food and packaging industries.
