It has successfully executed projects under the 20 MW rooftop grid-tied scheme of MNRE/JKEDA and earned the Highest Achiever’s Award. Mr. Mustafa Ali is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kashmir Renewable Energy Private Limited (KREPL Solar), a pioneering solar energy enterprise from Jammu & Kashmir. Widely regarded as a visionary, he transformed a modest beginning into one of the region’s most successful renewable energy companies. In 2010, with just 250,000 borrowed capital, he established KREPL Solar with the mission to provide clean, affordable, and sustainable energy to the people of J&K. Through perseverance and strategic foresight, he grew the company into a 25-crore enterprise, employing over 50 professionals across multiple districts.
As CEO, he combines entrepreneurial drive with social responsibility, emphasizing professionalism, innovation, ethical practices, and teamwork. Under his leadership, KREPL Solar emerged as the top vendor in J&K under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijili Yojna, achieving more than 1 MW rooftop solar capacity in record time and moving toward the 2 MW milestone. He has guided prestigious projects such as the 70 MW solarization of government buildings under JAKEDA, Smart City projects in Srinagar and Jammu, and community initiatives under the PM-KUSUM Scheme.
