REIL Electricals India Ltd., established in 1973 as Sahney Paris Rhone Ltd. in technical collaboration with Paris Rhone, France, has been a pioneer in the manufacturing of high-performance starter motors, alternators, and related components. With decades of expertise, the company has become a trusted name serving industries such as mining, construction, railways, and genset engines, recognized for its quality, reliability, and technological excellence.
Headquartered in Pondicherry, REIL operates from a modern facility spread across four acres with over 35,000 square feet of built-up area. The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, with IATF 16949 certification in progress, reflecting its strong focus on quality management and sustainability. Its product portfolio includes starter motors ranging from 12V to 64V (4 to 11 KW) and alternators from 12V to 24V (30 to 150 Amps), along with a wide range of spare parts designed for heavy-duty applications. Every product is developed and tested in-house, supported by a skilled workforce, advanced R&D capabilities, and rigorous quality systems.
REIL has built a strong domestic presence through 36 sales and service dealers and partnerships with major OEMs such as BEML, Cummins India, Kirloskar, Greaves India, and Indian Railways. The company also imports premium materials from Brazil and the USA to maintain international standards. Currently, REIL is developing starter motors and related products for India’s defense sector. His extensive career reflects a proven track record of achievements across sales, dealership management, customer support, quality management, and strategic leadership. An Automobile Engineering graduate with a strong foundation in Information Technology, he brings a rare combination of technical expertise and business acumen to every role he undertakes.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Pradeep Kumar has evolved from managing dealerships of renowned brands such as Escorts, Mahindra, Chetra (Russia), and Zoomlion (China) to leading REIL Electricals India Ltd. as its Managing Director. Under his leadership, the company has strengthened its reputation for innovation, precision engineering, and uncompromising quality standards. His strategic initiatives have been instrumental in expanding REIL’s product portfolio, particularly in starter motors and alternators, to serve a wide range of heavy-duty equipment while maintaining the company’s rigorous quality benchmarks and earning the continued trust of leading OEMs.
